What is Bitcoin's monthly RSI?<\/h2>

The Relative Strength Index (RSI)<\/strong> is a momentum oscillator from 0 to 100 that measures the speed and size of recent price changes. Here it is computed with Wilder's method over 14 monthly<\/strong> closes, so it reacts slowly and reflects the long-term trend.<\/p>

By convention, readings above 70<\/strong> are called \"overbought\" and below 30<\/strong> \"oversold\". These are descriptive technical labels about momentum, not buy or sell signals. The orange line is the BTC price for context.<\/p>

How is the monthly RSI calculated?<\/h3>

It uses Wilder's RSI over 14 monthly candles: it averages monthly gains and losses with Wilder smoothing and maps them to a 0\u2013100 scale. We show the figure and its date; we do not act on it.<\/p>

What do "overbought" and "oversold" mean?<\/h3>

They are conventional labels: above 70 momentum has been strongly positive, below 30 strongly negative. They describe recent momentum, not what the price will do next. Markets can stay overbought or oversold for a long time.<\/p>

Why monthly instead of daily?<\/h3>

A monthly RSI is far slower and less noisy than a daily one, so it is used to read the broad, multi-year momentum of Bitcoin rather than short-term swings.<\/p>

Where does the data come from?<\/h3>

Monthly closing prices come from Binance (BTCUSDT, no API key). The RSI is computed live; nothing is stored.<\/p><\/div><\/div>
