There are Ryzen 3000 series, 4000 and the laptop versions of 4000, 5000 and 7000 series. The keys you use to log in could become available to an attacker. The vulnerability is identified as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccn-cert.cni.es\/component\/vulnerabilidades\/view\/34518.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CVE-2023-20593<\/a> and it manipulates log files to force malicious commands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Once the attacker successfully exploits this flaw, it can spy various operations that the CPU carries out.<\/strong> It includes password and login credentials. The vulnerability can affect any software running on the processor. It also has the ability to read data executed in virtual machines, a significant problem considering the number of cloud service providers. The information can also be exposed jeopardizing the privacy of several users around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The attacker doesn\u2019t need to have physical access to the vulnerable device. They can hack you remotely using JavaScript on a website. This makes it more challenging to avoid, and it increases the risk. In major platforms like Cloudflare which use servers with vulnerable AMD CPUs, they are already taking measures for risk mitigation. The system is applying patches to its servers and the vulnerability has been rated as 6.5 on the CVSS scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Precautions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main recommendation is to thoroughly <strong>review the devices and check if they are correctly updated<\/strong>. Sometimes the flaws do not have a solution yet but it\u2019s only a matter of time for the manufacturers to solve it. You can check available microcode updates in order to fix the issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right now, there is no evidence that the vulnerability of some AMD processors has been exploited. However, this doesn\u2019t mean there is no risk. Therefore, you must update your equipment as soon as possible to ensure that your passwords are not hacked in PC with AMD as well as any other sensitive information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To sum up, the significant <strong>flaw affecting AMD processors<\/strong> is already spotted.
