This is the image escalation technology from the AMD developers. In the PC version of the game it didn\u2019t include NVIDIA DLSS support and the performance was cut. The NVIDIA technology wasn\u2019t present because of the Bethesda and AMD agreement. But modders worked on the game and now the DLSS support is present in the space warships game. Although it\u2019s not an official integration, the results are pretty good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The<a href=\"https:\/\/chipsandcheese.com\/2023\/09\/14\/analyzing-starfields-performance-on-nvidias-4090-and-amds-7900-xtx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> ChipAndCheese analysis<\/a> reveals that AMD still has the advatange. Radeon graphics optimize the L2 cache bandwidth whereas NVIDIA chips design result in less performance. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.islabit.com\/en\/170726\/roadmap-indicate-that-the-launch-of-nvidias-rtx-5000-series-will-be-in-2025.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NVIDIA graphics<\/a> deal with smaller registry files and the workload is lower. This makes it harder to keep a stable load on the execution units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Xbox Series S vs. Series X | Starfield Load Times, Resolution and FPS Test | 4K 60FPS UHD\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SiEU1UWhFns?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to the CapFrameX software we can see the DLSS 3 technology offering a 23% plus in the general performance. The FSR 2 in RX 7000 XT only increased an 8% the benchmark results. Both results are taken from a 1440p resolution session with no additional adjustments. The performance tests also compare Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Core i9-13900K. Both components are pretty similar and AMD wins by a very small margin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A new addition with no tricks<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even though <strong>the difference seems striking<\/strong>, in fact it isn\u2019t. The normal difference between both technologies remains the same. DLSS also requires dedicated hardware while FSR doesn\u2019t. The DLSS 3 only works on the RX 40 Series and the FSR 2 on the RX 7000 Series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Other technologies included with DLSS<\/strong> are Super Resolution and Frame Generation. Both technologies can give you a small boost if you activate them simultaneously. But the results of the benchmark tests indicate that both technologies are available with no tricks or optimizations whatsoever.
