You can add new layers of security with just a few clicks and avoid hackers to access your device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OTP code<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OTP stands for <strong>One Time Password<\/strong>. It refers to passwords you can use only once. You can receive it in your e-mail or through a SMS. When you enter your account, input the password and you will be asked for the OTP for verification. It adds an extra layer of protection and it is present in bank accounts and social networks, for example. As soon as you get it, use it because it expires quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>TOTP<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>It\u2019s very similar to OTP but it includes the time factor<\/strong>. The password changes after a few minutes. It uses an algorithm to generate codes that change after certain time. It\u2019s a very powerful tool to protect your accounts. You can use Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator to generate this type of passwords.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most of the services now use double factor authentication. You can easily generate a TOTP and synch it with your favorite apps in just a few minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>HOTP<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The last in the differences comparison between OTP, TOTP and HOTP is HOTP protocol. It uses the HMAC algorithm and it\u2019s even based. When you activate a new code, it generates a new one.
