When keyboard keys start failing, you may have to buy a new keyboard but first you should try the tips in this list to try and fix your device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are different alternatives to <strong>check if your keyboard keys are beyond salvation<\/strong>. You may fix it by only cleaning the keyboard physically or you may update your drivers to eliminate any possible issue. You should try to remove any kind of dirt to make sure the keys make contact correctly. There\u2019s also the possibility of using compressed air to forcefully clean dirt from the keyboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Drivers update<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In case your <strong>computer drivers suffer some type of problem<\/strong>, your keyboard can also start failing. In order to fix driver problems press Win + X or go to the Device manager by right clicking the Start menu. Open the keyboard section and right click on yours to select Update driver order. Follow the steps to download the new package for your keyboard in case there\u2019s one available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Use Windows\u2019 troubleshooter<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Windows includes a native troubleshooting tool<\/strong>. Press Win + I and go to Update and security. There you have the option Solve problems. Inside the Troubleshooting tool select the option related to keyboard functions. There\u2019s a good possibility that the problems gets fixed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Verify the keyboard connections<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have a USB wired keyboard you must check the connection and USB port. You can try changing the port to rule out any other problem. In case your keyboard works via Bluetooth, revise the wireless connection through Windows\u2019 control panel connections section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Use key testing software<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are <strong>software solutions<\/strong> that let you check which of the keys in your keyboard are working correctly and which aren\u2019t.
