That\u2019s why Aravind Srinivas, the popular CEO of Perplexity, has given his opinion on the topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During a conference organized by the <strong>Polksky Center in Chicago University<\/strong>, Aravind gave his opinion on AI boyfriends and girlfriends. Some of these platforms such as Replika, can even adjust voice, appearance and personality of the AI girlfriends and boyfriends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To the famous CEO, these <strong>chats shouldn\u2019t be considered entertainment at all<\/strong>. They accompany people and can manipulate their minds. It\u2019s important to notice that the chatbots can distort the user\u2019s reality perception. In Perplexity they don\u2019t even consider working with these chatbots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Virtual love can make you do things<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>addictive potential and the psychological dangers<\/strong> from AI boyfriends and girlfriends are hard to control. It can make you feel that the relationship is authentic but it is not. In the words of Aravind Srinivas, it\u2019s an emotional loop designed to keep the user for most time possible.
