It fused with Android Pay on 2018 creating Google Pay and from 2022 onwards it\u2019s known as Google Wallet. Every Android user can download Google Wallet from the Google Play Store and the feature to pay with credit cards stored on the app, is called Google Pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, <strong>Samsung Pay arrived on market in 2016<\/strong>. In 2022 the name changed to Samsung Wallet in certain countries. It\u2019s a platform that combines features from Samsung Pass and Samsung Pay in order to offer a digital payment platform with great compatibility. The app is available from download directly on the Google PlayStore and you can use it in almost every Samsung Galaxy device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Main differences between Google Wallet and Samsung Pay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although both apps are available for Android devices, there are certain differences to take into account, For example, Google Wallet runs on every Android device, but Samsung Pay is blocked to run only on Samsung devices. Neither of them can run on iOS devices because the App Store from Apple doesn\u2019t have them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both payment apps have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.islabit.com\/en\/175424\/samsung-wallet-now-lets-you-send-money-by-tapping-even-on-your-iphone.html\" id=\"175424\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NFC compatibility<\/a>, and you can easily pay for your services and goods by touching the screen. But there\u2019s an interesting difference in terms of discounts and rewards. Google Wallet tends to have more interesting perks. However, Samsung rewards allows to accumulate points to use them on future purchases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, the <strong>online payment methods<\/strong> for both apps are similar but not the same. Both use NFC technology but Samsung Pay uses a new technology called MST that it\u2019s more secure according to the user community. Although there are certain advantages in security, Google Wallet is still the most popular digital payment platform.
