You won\u2019t be able to follow a Google Maps route or even listen to your music. The strange thing is that Android Auto worked normally up until the update. There are no changes at all on the mobile phone, the car or the installation. It\u2019s just an update that breaks your connectivity for the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>issue with the update<\/strong> generates a loop where connectivity falls down and it reconnects and it fails again. At the moment, the problem is only in those devices that use wireless connectivity for third party screens because you can plug your mobile phone using a cable and you won\u2019t experience any issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Is there a solution?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s no Android Auto official solution at the moment. Clearing data and reinstalling the app is also not working. And even installing newer versions such as <strong>16.7 won\u2019t fix the issue<\/strong>. If you try installing an older <a href=\"https:\/\/www.islabit.com\/en\/176760\/google-wants-to-end-with-apks-as-we-know-them.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">APK<\/a> version of Android Auto there\u2019s no guarantee that it can fix the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The good news is that Google recognized the issue with third party devices and it\u2019s already working on a solution. Take into account that Android Auto does not only require your mobile phone and car operating system, but you have also a third party screen with software issues.
