Mod that increases the performance of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PC?

  • Respawn Entertainment admits to performance issues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
  • Modder PureDark is working on a new version of his DLSS 3 mod for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that can double the frame rate of the game
  • The combination of DLSS Frame Generation and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 is expected to resolve artifact issues

After the success of their DLSS 3 mod on Elden Ring, PureDark is working on a PC mod for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Respawn Entertainment received praise for the game’s story and combat, but also criticism for its poor performance on consoles and PC.

Game performance issues

On consoles, performance mode doesn’t hit 60 frames per second, causing pop-up and screen tearing issues.

On PC, the situation is even worse, performing below expectations on every level, leading Alexander Battaglia to call the game possibly the worst triple-A PC port released in 2023.

Respawn Entertainment acknowledged the negative reports and promised to fix the issues.

PureDark’s solution

Meanwhile, modder PureDark comes to the rescue of GeForce RTX 40 owners with his DLSS 3 mod.

The mod can more than double the frame rate of the game and PureDark is working on combining DLSS Frame Generation and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 for a new version of the mod for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The release of the mod is still unclear and artifact issues in the DLSS Frame Generation implementation are expected to be resolved. We will be keeping an eye on PureDark to follow the development of the mod.
