There are three Affinity apps for iPad that work as the best Photoshop alternative in Apple’s devices. Without an official announcement or explanation, the three of them are available for free but we don’t know when this will end. They are Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo and Affinity Publisher. You can download them and then register for a free license.
It may be a marketing campaign or a system error, but right now you can buy the best Photoshop alternative for iPad devices for 0 Euros. It’s one of the greatest alternatives to Adobe suite for those who don’t want to spend a monthly subscription. Affinity tools compete directly with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign from Adobe Acrobat and they work even better in iPad.

How to get Affinity Photoshop alternative for free
In order to get Affinity apps for free, the process is very easy. The Photoshop alternative for iPad is available without any pop-up message or ads, you only have to download each app independently. First you have to download Affinity Designer 2, Affinity Photo 2 or Affinity Publisher 2 from the iPad App Store.
Install any of the apps, open it and register or log in to your Affinity account. A free 7 days trial offer will appear and you have to accept it. Don’t worry, it’s not a subscription and you won’t even see it in your App Store and you won’t require to confirm your password either.
Once inside the app, select the Account section and the Buy now option. Confirm the buy and you will notice that the price is zero. Now you only need to register your Affinity account and you are ready.
The apps first offer a 7 days free trial but you can buy them for zero and the linking with your account is permanent. At least that’s what it seems.
Doubts about the future of this offer
The alarms are ready to ring in the community. First of all, because Affinity hasn’t promoted this in any way. There’s no press release nor any message stating that you can buy Affinity apps for free. The recent bough of Sherif by Canva also generates concerns.
When Canva bought Serif in March 2024 there were no changes. But now the platform may start changing. In YouTube you can’t access Serif channel anymore and the plugins store has also disappeared.
From October 6th onwards the community forums are available only for reading and you can’t buy the universal license to run Affinity apps in all your devices. The official website also erased all visual references to Affinity apps but the links are still on if you search on Google
The Mac App Store versions have also been removed. It seems that Affinity is going to change or disappear definitely but you can make the most out of it and enjoy it for free, at least for a while. It may be a technical issue but right now, iPad Affinity apps are still available. Don’t lose the opportunity to download them and register for free, at least until they fix it or remove it definitely.
