The Xiaomi 12S Ultra was launched by the end of 2022. It was the first device developed through the collaboration of Xiaomi and Leica. However the Smartphone never reached Spain. The company CEO confirmed that new generations of this device will reach the national market and today it’s a reality. The new Xiaomi 13 Ultra will arrive to Spain and other markets besides China.
The new Smartphone is an update of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. It is a top-tier device with the best of Qualcomm processors, a big and clear screen and several cameras for great quality captures. Xiaomi does the maximum to win the top-tier competition.

The brightest screen in the industry
In terms of desing, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is not a new phone. The dimensions are almost the same. It is 0,33 millimeters narrow, 2 grams heavier and 1 millimeter more taller. The different are not easily perceived in physical changes.
The back side uses synthetic materials to imitate leather and it has a circular module with the cameras’ sensors. It’s an aesthetic inspired by the iconic Leica cameras. The frontal side is a AMOLED LTPO panel with 2K resolution and 6,73 inches. The refresh rate is 1 to 120 Hz for better energy consumption. It is the brightest screen ever. Until now, the OPPO Find X6 Pro was the brightest Smartphone with 2500 nits but Xiaomi 13 Ultra reaches 2600 nits.
Qualcomm hearth, liquid refrigeration and a big battery
There are no surprises in the processor of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. It is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with 12 and 16 GB of RAM memory configurations. The storage memory can be 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB and all of them are UFS 4.0.
This is a top-tier device capable of playing content with high resolution. It can also film 4K videos and complete heavy processes. For that reason, Xiaomi introduces the liquid refrigeration solution called LiquidCool.
The battery is also improved from 4860 to 5000 mAh. It also includes quick charge via wired solution at 90 W and 50 W through wireless quick charge.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra and the Leica experience
The camera section is one of the most impressive on the device. It has a quadruple camera system with a 1 inch main lense Sony IMX989. The focal distance ranges from 12 mm in the wide angle to 120 mm in the periscope telephoto. The main camera has a 23 mm distance and the telephoto reaches 75 mm. The periscope telephoto has an optic zoom up to 5x and digital zoom up to 120x.
The main lense IMX989 has a 50 megapixels resolution. It includes an opening that allows changes from f/1,9 to f/4,0 in order to try different exposure levels. The Leica collaboration is evident in the Customized photographic styles. These settings allow the use of several filters and configurations to make the results of each capture similar to a Leica camera.
Prices and versions of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra
Xiaomi will launch the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in China soon and it will reach Spain in June. In European territory there will be black and green versions. The prices are still unknown but we have Chinese equivalents in order to make guesses.

The final price in Europe may not be the exact equivalent. The actual price of Xiaomi 13 Pro is 1399 euros a lot higher than the yuan price of the device.
