Backbone One Controller – PlayStation Edition Arrives on Android

  • Discover the new Backbone One controller compatible with Android, designed in collaboration with Sony, which allows you to enjoy a gaming experience similar to the DualSense of PlayStation.
  • Play PlayStation titles and other popular games like “Call of Duty: Mobile” and “Fortnite” from the Play Store, while enjoying a personalized experience through the Backbone app.
  • Get your Backbone One – PlayStation Edition in multiple regions, with plans to expand to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore in the near future.

Sony and Backbone have teamed up once again to release the Android version of the Backbone One controller in its PlayStation edition. Following their partnership last July to release an iOS version with a Lightning port, Android users can now enjoy this unique gaming experience as well.

Design inspired by PlayStation DualSense

The iOS and Android versions of Backbone One – PlayStation Edition resemble Sony’s popular DualSense controller, giving players the ability to use the iconic PlayStation buttons instead of the traditional ABXY controls.

This controller allows you to play various PlayStation titles via the PS Remote Play application, as well as other compatible games such as “Call of Duty: Mobile”, “Fortnite” and “Diablo Immortal” available on the Play Store (or App Store).

Users can download the Backbone app to enjoy a personalized gaming experience and receive PlayStation-related updates. Additionally, the app acts as a hub for all supported games, including those available on streaming services like Xbox Game Pass, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna.

Availability and upcoming releases

Backbone One – PlayStation Edition is now available to purchase for $99 in the US, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. But Sony has announced that the controller will soon be available to users in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore, thus expanding its reach to more regions of the world.
