What are momentum and OBV?

Momentum (here, the Rate of Change) is simply how much the price has risen or fallen over a window — 30 and 90 days — expressed as a percentage. It describes the strength and direction of the recent move.

On-Balance Volume (OBV) is a running total of volume: it adds the day's volume when price closes up and subtracts it when price closes down. A rising OBV means volume has leaned toward up-days; a falling OBV, toward down-days. The orange line is the BTC price for context.

These are descriptive technical indicators, not buy/sell signals or investment advice.

How is momentum calculated here?

As the Rate of Change: today's close divided by the close 30 (or 90) days ago, minus one, in percent. Positive means the price is higher than it was then; negative, lower. It is an arithmetic fact about the past window.

What does OBV tell me?

It summarises whether volume has accumulated more on up-days or down-days over time. Analysts watch whether OBV and price move together or diverge, but it is a description of volume flow, not a prediction.

Is a positive momentum a buy signal?

No. These figures describe past price and volume behaviour. We do not turn them into signals or recommendations.

Where does the data come from?

Daily closing prices and volumes come from Binance (BTCUSDT, no API key) over roughly the last two years. Everything is computed live; nothing is stored.
