The public beta is on its way and there’s a full list of devices that will support it. There are also a group of Apple devices that won’t be compatible with the new iOS 26 features.

In Autumn when the new iPhone 17 models arrive, they will include compatibility with the iOS 26 operating system.
Advanced features will still be exclusive
As it already happened with iOS 18, not every feature of the new system will be available for all the iPhone devices. The most advanced features such as Apple Intelligence will require the most powerful hardware available.
Artificial Intelligence features from iOS will still be limited to the most powerful iPhones with more RAM and modern processors with A17 Pro chips or higher.
